چکیده

Soil bacterial and fungal communities play different roles in maintaining the ecosystem structure functions. However, these differences, which are related to soil depths, remain unclear subject of this study. We selected six sample plots (20 m × 50 m) a natural Picea crassifolia forest an alpine meadow determine vertical patterns (0~10 cm, 10~20 20~30 30~50 cm) communities, predict their potential The phyla Verrucomicrobia, Acidobacteria, Proteobacteria dominated bacteria, with more than 50% relative abundance, while fungi Basidiomycota Ascomycota fungi. functions including metabolism transcription, increased depth, corresponded specific taxa. functional guilds fungi, endophytes, arbuscular mycorrhiza, ectomycorrhiza, did not change depth. structural equation modeling analysis revealed that organic carbon (SOC) pH were key drivers shaping 0–50 cm layer. SOC was also driver α diversity. plot, namely, its geographic locations, another β diversity functions, but depth not. Our results differentiate importance location respectively, indicate examining microbial composition corresponding concomitantly is important for maintenance management

Long-term Fertilization Structures Bacterial and Archaeal Communities along Soil Depth Gradient in a Paddy Soil

Soil microbes provide important ecosystem services. Though the effects of changes in nutrient availability due to fertilization on the soil microbial communities in the topsoil (tilled layer, 0-20 cm) have been extensively explored, the effects on communities and their associations with soil nutrients in the subsoil (below 20 cm) which is rarely impacted by tillage are still unclear. 16S rRNA g...

Soil bacterial endemism and potential functional redundancy in natural broadleaf forest along a latitudinal gradient

Microorganisms play key roles in ecosystem processes and biogeochemical cycling, however, the relationship between soil microbial taxa diversity and their function in natural ecosystems is largely unknown. To determine how soil bacteria community and function are linked from the local to regional scale, we studied soil bacteria community composition, potential function and environmental conditi...

Soil bacterial diversity patterns and drivers along an elevational gradient on Shennongjia Mountain, China

Understanding biological diversity elevational pattern and the driver factors are indispensable to develop the ecological theories. Elevational gradient may minimize the impact of environmental factors and is the ideal places to study soil microbial elevational patterns. In this study, we selected four typical vegetation types from 1000 to 2800 m above the sea level on the northern slope of She...

Distinct soil bacterial communities along a small-scale elevational gradient in alpine tundra

The elevational diversity pattern for microorganisms has received great attention recently but is still understudied, and phylogenetic relatedness is rarely studied for microbial elevational distributions. Using a bar-coded pyrosequencing technique, we examined the biodiversity patterns for soil bacterial communities of tundra ecosystem along 2000-2500 m elevations on Changbai Mountain in China...

Soil salinity and nutrients pattern along a distance gradient in coastal region

Soil salinity is considered as one of the major challenges in coastal agriculture in Bangladesh yet geographical extent of soil salinity and nutrients status have received little or no attention. This study investigated the patterns of soil salinity, total nitrogen, phosphorous, potassium and sulfur between agricultural and fallow land along a 90 km distance from the coastline in Noakhali, Bang...
